How to Reduce Uric Acid?

by ,
Gout is caused by uric acid. In order to prevent future gout attacks, you have to get a good understand the distribution of uric acid in the body. Everyone has uric acid in his/her body, and uric acid is a by-product of the breaking down of purine in the liver. This uric acid then enter the blood stream and sent to the kidney for excretion through the urine. Thus, for a healthy person, uric acid can only be found in liver, bloodstream, and kidney.
For a person who is suffering from gout, it means there are too much uric acid in the blood that is beyond the capacity of the kidneys to filter them out. Too much uric acid in the blood for too long will drastically lower the pH of the blood and this can cause serious complication, even death. In order to protect itself, the body has to opt for alternative route to hide away the uric acid in the blood, which is to throw them out from the blood stream to spaces within other tissues such as muscle, fatty tissue, and synovial fluid in the joints.
If this process goes on for too long, the concentration of uric acid in the joints will reach the saturation point and result in the crystallization of uric acid to become urate crystals and it is these urate crystals that give the painful gouty inflammation.
If you go to see a doctor, he will advice you to cut down on the consumption of high purine foods such as red meat, seafoods, beans, etc. and he will also ask you to drink plenty of water. But this can only help to control the uric acid level in the blood and cannot help to dissolve the urate crystals that has already formed and hiding in the joints.
In order to be free from gout forever, one has to use the Alkaline Method to dissolve and “pull” the hidden uric acid/urate crystals out from the body. This can be achieve by eating more alkaline foods (Google them) or the most effective way is to drink ionized alkaline water.
